Graffiti Art

This is another Summer Learning Journey post for Day 4 Week 4 Activity 3 year 6-8. For this task I was told to go on a website to look at graffiti art from the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes and take a screenshot of two different ones that I liked. Then I had to write down the differences and similarities
between the two. What I found hard while making this post was trying to find some good pictures. Here is my post about Graffiti Art.

  1. Hi Sophie
Great job do you know where this graffiti is? Is it on the wall, the floor etc. Is the one on the left a bell bird?
    Keep up the great work

  2. Thanks for the great comment, Molly. Yes the one with lots of green is a Bellbird and the other one is a Blue Penguin which you would have learnt about at school! I am 95% sure that they are both on a wall.

    1. Hi Sophie
Thanks for the information. You can kind of tell that the picture on the right is on some sort of tiles or bricks but on the left it is hard to see.

  3. Hi Sophie

These are two very awesome pieces of art. There are some very talented people around. I would be happy to have either of these artworks on my wall.
They are both stunning in their own ways. I really like the one of the bell bird on the right. The greens in that are amazing. As I am writing this comment there is a bell bird in my tree singing to me!

When i think of street art I think more about graffiti art which is a lot more like tagging. It is very colourful and stunning sometimes too.

There is some great art around Christchurch, I will have to make sure I have a look next time I am over there.

    Great work Sophie

    Until next time

    Allie :)
