Dork Diaries, Birthday Drama

This is another Summer Learning Journey post for Day 3 Week 2 Activity 3 year 6-8. For this task I was told to write a short book review about a book I like with a picture or illustration of the book. What I found hard while making this post was trying to find a good book to write about. Here is my post about a book called Dork Diaries, Birthday Drama!

  1. Hi Sophie,

Thanks for sharing your book review of “Dork Diaries - Birthday Drama”. This looks like it would a really funny book to read! What do you like about Nikki? Do you think she is a good character?

I love reading books! I love talking about and critiquing books too. Sometimes you can really enjoy a story, but wish they had done something a little differently. If you had any feedback for the author, what would it be?

Do you like to read often? This year my goal is to read 20 new books! Last year I only read 7… so it is going to be a big challenge for me.

    Keep on blogging :)

    1. Thanks for the good comment, Beren! I love how Nikki has her own little code words for people like CCP's ( Cute, Cool and Popular) which are mean Mackenzie Hollister's gang! She is a great character because she is so good at being a great friend! I normally read every night if I am not too tired! I think I would like the author of the Dork Diaries series to make even more drama!

    2. Hi Sophie,

That's awesome you think she is a great character! CCP sounds like a very clever code, maybe I will start using it too :D

More drama you say? That is quite good feedback. I think the best stories have lots of drama in the middle because then the payoff at the end is more satisfying.
