Room 5 has started the Summer Learning Journey challenge. This is one of the activities that we had to do was to write about our hometown and why you love it. My hometown is Nelson Creek! Here is my drawing about Nelson Creek.
That is a lovely description of your hometown! I've never been to Nelson Creek before but I went to Greymouth when I was around 6 years old. I don't remember too much of the trip though. I would love to visit your hometown, it sounds like such a nice and cosy place to spend time with friends and family! The next time I visit your hometown I will definitely make sure I get my hands on some fish and chips as well as lollies, yum! Your hometown sounds so exciting with camp grounds and cliffs! I live in Auckland and it's a very busy business city so we don't have any of that over here, you would have to travel a bit to find places like that. You're very lucky to be able to hop into the river whenever you please, especially now that the weather is getting hotter! Do you enjoy living on a farm? I like farm animals but I would imagine that it would be very busy on a farm! What is your absolute favourite thing to do or place to go in your hometown?
Thanks for the wonderful comment Evelyn. I love living on a farm and there is so much space that you can use to run around and play. I don't think I could survive in Auckland! With all of the busy streets and shops! My favoutite thing I love to do is go to the river across the road and play with the dogs.
It's a pleasure, it's been wonderful reading about your hometown. I would imagine having all that space on your farm would seem like paradise! You're right, Auckland can be quite overwhelming!
Thanks for the positive comment, Amelia. It is nice to see that more than one person likes Nelson Creek! Yeah, I think I could have put some on my drawing, looks a bit boring with all of the writing and no pictures.
Kia ora Sophie,
