Barack H. Obama

This is my 39th Summer Learning Journey post for Day 4 Week 3 Activity 1 year 6-8. For this task I was told to go onto a website about people who won Nobel Prizes. Then I had to pick someone and write what they did to get the prize and who they are. What I found hard while making this post was trying to find the right Nobel Prize winner. Here is my post about Barack H. Obama!

    Thanks for sharing your blog post about Barack Obama. I actually didn’t know that he received the Nobel Peace Prize. That is pretty amazing, especially since he had only been president for 10 months when he received this award.

    Barack was very determined to fight climate and provide health care for his country. He was a very articulate speaker, and I think he did an excellent job of getting his point across. What made you want to choose Obama? Is he an inspiration you?

    Another great blog post Sophie, excellent work! I really enjoyed reading it :)

    Thanks for the awesome comment, Beren! If anyone said Barack couldn't do something he would prove to them that he could and he managed to do that by being the first African American President of the United States! He really is an inspiration to many people including me.

      Hi Sophie,

      That is so cool that he is an inspiration to you! I think he is pretty amazing too. Did you know that he has been working with Netflix to create a series of documentaries and films? I think that is quite interesting, one of them is even nominated for an Oscar award I hear.

      Yes, such an amazing life! I wonder what he will do next...

      Some people have suggested that his wife, Michelle Obama, may run for president someday. Do you think she will?
